You walk into your local charity shop and see the usual plastic box full of second hand records. You flick through aimlessly, only really hoping you will come across something that you remember. Eventually, as you reach the middle section of the records, there is one lone LP. No sleeve, no title, no artwork, just a plain piece of pitch black plastic, almost consumed by the immense amount of dust it has carried for several years.

You take it home after the store owner just allows you to have it for free. He couldn't care less anyway. When you place it upon the record player you got for Christmas, the needle senses its presence. It hovers over it as you hold your breath with anticipation and tension racing through your body.

The needle drops. Only then do you notice the impossible amount of beating this LP has endured. Coffee stains, sporadic scratches and the leftover gunge of children's stickers cover it's once pristine visage.

Then, and only then, does it begin to play.
